IMP Irish Meat Producers Site

1997

Hewlett Packard officially opened its facility and at its height employed 2,100 people.

2018

HP closes down the Leixlip facility

2021

New owners acquire the site and the Kildare Innovation Campus is launched, with an ambitious new masterplan.

2033

The new masterplan will be completed providing over 150,000m2 of additional science technology and innovation space.

Campus Masterplan

Addressing future technological needs for infrastructure requires careful planning and adaptation to emerging trends. With this in mind, Kildare Innovation Campus (KIC) is being redeveloped and expanded under a comprehensive and ambitious vision, having been designed for Smart Infrastructure that can optimize resource usage and enhance safety, prioritizing energy efficiency and sustainability, human centric, with an emphasis on Public-Private Partnerships and Collaboration. KIC's Masterplan considers Futureproofing and Scalability: Designing infrastructure with future needs in mind to ensure long term future viability.

The infrastructure is being built to accommodate technological advancements and be easily scalable to support increasing demands.

With a focus on Innovation, Technology and Deeptech, the Masterplan will transform the existing campus, making it Europe's first Deeptech Valley, a location of choice for new investors, world-leading startups, global multinational companies.
